Let me share a personal confession with you...
I once let work consume my identity. I was so deeply in love with what I did that I lost sight of who I truly was without it.
Throughout my career in retail sales management, business management, and leading successful teams for renowned multimillion-dollar companies, I experienced the exhilaration of success. However, along with success came immense pressure, long hours, and an ever-growing to-do list.
I justified these sacrifices because of my passion and desire to see my teams and businesses thrive. Unknowingly, I was neglecting my own well-being, sacrificing my time, health, and personal life.
Despite the initial warning signs, I pushed myself relentlessly, continuing to do what I believed I did best. Work.
Then came my worst nightmare – burnout.
When my body reached its breaking point, I was forced to confront the severity of the situation. I had pushed myself too far and it became clear that things had to change.
During my journey to recovery, a book sparked a profound realisation within me. It said, "If you're busy, it's okay to hire a cleaner." That simple statement made me reflect on how I had never allowed myself to seek help, in my career or my personal life.
Now I want to help you succeed in your business by emphasising the importance of seeking outside support. Imagine lifting that consistent pressure from your chest – the never-ending weight that holds you down.
